How does it work?

Joy Learning online tutoring provides a flexible and personalised approach to learning. By working with one of our qualified tutors online, you can improve your academic performance and achieve your goals.

  • Consultation

We will discuss your academic goals and aspirations to gain a clear understanding of your requirements. We are flexible with our approach to communication and can discuss over the phone, Whatsapp or email at a mutually convenient time.

  • Tutor Selection

Once we have a clear picture of your requirements we will determine the most compatible and available tutor to support you with your academic goals and ambitions. The tutor’s profile will be shared with you.

  • First Lesson

A lesson with the selected tutor will be arranged to support you in confirming the compatibility of the tutor. The first lesson is covered by our satisfaction guarantee, so you only pay if you are happy to proceed.

  • Online Classroom

The trial lesson provides you an opportunity to experience our well equipped online classroom. A link to the lesson will be emailed to you beforehand so that you can join at the scheduled time to begin a lesson with your selected tutor.

  • Price & Payment

Our standard rate is £30 per hour (£35 for A Level). We recommend one hour per subject. This is charged to your saved account details after each lesson.

  • Feedback

Your private tutor will provide a written report at the end of the lesson detailing lesson content and any homework or independent practise required. This will be emailed to you shortly after the lesson once the tutor has created the report.

  • Scheduling

We aim to be as flexible as possible to ensure both students and tutors can work together at mutually beneficial times. The tutor will provide you contact detail so that you can communicate directly to request any changes to your lesson schedule.

  • Lates & Cancellations

You can inform your tutor whenever a cancellation is required or you are running late. Please inform your tutor of a cancellation no less than 24 hours prior to the start of the lesson to avoid the £10 cancellation fee.
